Bob has resided in the area since 1977. He moved here from Seattle with his wife Martha and four children. In Seattle he was a Marketing Manager for Blue Shield. Presently he and Martha own an insurance agency in downtown Centralia serving hundreds of Medical insurance customers of all ages. Their family attends Mt. View Baptist Church and he volunteers with Kiwanis, Salvation Army and Lewis County EDC as a board member for those groups. He enjoys being a grandparent with Martha supporting their children with their 16 grandkids. He believes our area locally is a wonderful place to live, love, and raise families.

Carol Lee Ricard

I grew up in Bellingham, WA, moved to Seattle, attended classes at the U of W and worked for the State of WA. In early 1960, I moved to Centralia, was married in 1962 and we raised our two children here. I was employed by Lewis County Medical Corp. (now Regence/Blue Shield), then for the City of Centralia for 25 years, retiring in 1993 as City Clerk/Personnel Officer. Following retirement from the City, I ran for Centralia City Council three times and served 12 consecutive years on the City Council. Following my husband’s death, I returned to school, then applied and was admitted to the Clinical Pastoral (Chaplaincy) Education Program offered by Providence St. Peter Hospital. Upon completion of this two year program, I was hired as a staff Chaplain. In 2003, I transferred to Providence Centralia Hospital and remained there as a staff chaplain until retirement in 2020. In 2005, I remarried and sadly lost my second husband in 2010. I grew up in the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. We joined the Episcopal Church in 1969 and I have remained an active member of the Episcopal Church (now St. Timothy’s) since that time. I’ve been an active member of various organizations in the community for a number of years, including the Salvation Army Advisory Board, Centralia/Chehalis Altrusa, P.E.O. and The Friendly Neighbor’s Garden Club. I am a grandmother and great grandmother and love and treasure being with family and friends (both old and new), as well as traveling and reading. Over the years, my family has been my greatest joy, concern and treasure.
